Case Study 3
Due to the difficult economic climate recently a West Yorkshire based construction and renovation firm found itself in the unfortunate position of having insufficient work to sustain its workforce and payroll costs. They had a lay off clause within their contracts but with few orders on the books for the next six months a longer term solution was needed
The company contacted us with a view to us being able to assist them through the somewhat inevitable redundancy situation. We worked with the management team initially to identity the numbers and areas where the short fall posed the greatest risk; we looked at alternatives to redundancy, natural turn over etc ensuring any alternative routes were exhausted.
Once the parameters of the situation were agreed we assisted the organisation through the legal process step by step, from drafting the final decision letters, to physically accompanying managers through the consultation process.
