New Dawn Resources Brings Employment Law Updates to You — In Person

Next month, we’ll be hosting our 6th Annual Employment Law Update at the Briar Court Hotel. This event is always a highlight for our team — it’s a great opportunity to connect with clients face to face and discuss the latest issues and challenges that organisations are navigating today. Plus, there’s always an excellent breakfast to enjoy!
We believe that staying up to date with employment law isn’t just about keeping track of new regulations — it’s about understanding what those changes mean for real businesses, real teams and real people
1. Making employment law practical, not theoretical
You will no doubt have seen lots of mentions, posts and discussion around the Employment Rights Bill (ERB) which will come into effect in the next 12 to 24 months and will see the biggest development in HR for 15 years. From access to statutory sick pay and trade union recognition, to changes to protection from harassment and day 1 rights to claim unfair dismissal. However, the real challenge for employers is turning new legislation into day-to-day action.
By presenting updates face-to-face, we:
• Explain complex legal changes in plain language
• Share real-world examples from across industries
• Help employers translate law into policy and practice
What We’ll Be Exploring this year
• Employment Law Update
An outline of the key recent and upcoming changes designed to help you plan and prepare. These include updates on statutory sick pay, trade union recognition, and new amendments addressing protection from harassment and unfair dismissal.
• Managing Neurodiversity
In recent years, the conversation around diversity in the workplace has evolved beyond visible differences to include neurological diversity — or neurodiversity. Neurodivergent employees bring unique strengths, creativity, and alternative ways of thinking, yet many face barriers that prevent them from thriving at work. We will be looking at understanding and managing this in the workplace.
• DiSC
Have you ever wondered why some people just don’t seem to understand you? Why is it that a team of competent, highly skilled, valued individuals can’t work together? If you want to know how and why this is or are looking for some solutions, then we think you will benefit from our insight and introduction to DiSC.
DiSC is a tool for measuring different behaviours and personality types. Find out what type you are and how NDR can help you enhance, develop and build great teamwork.
Why In-Person Matters
Our clients often tell us that being in the room makes all the difference. You can ask spontaneous questions, compare notes with others and get clear answers on how the law applies to your business. It also means they get more benefit of being out of the workplace without the distractions of joining remotely to focus on the key takeaways.
We believe that learning together — in conversation, not isolation — is the most effective way to stay compliant and confident in an ever-changing legal landscape.
